Joo Koon and Pioneer MRT stations open!

I'm not a "westerner", and the Jurong West area is a foreign piece of land to me, but I know for people who travel to and from the extreme west side of Singapore, the Boon Lay Extension line is a life saver. No more crappy feeder buses that take forever.

For our beloved users of gothere who travel to and fro the south west of Singapore, I am pleased to announce that Joo Koon and Pioneer stations have been added to our maps. Let's do a "Before and After", like what you see on slimming ads:

Previously, it took 64 minutes and $2.33 to go from Yio Chu Kang MRT to where Joo Koon MRT now stands.

Now it takes 49 minutes for the same route, and it costs only $1.84. Wow, a savings of 15 minutes (23% off the previous total time) and $0.49 saved (about 21% cheaper) with the new train station!

For those who wish to see how the train ride from Pioneer to Joo Koon looks like, but not willing to go all the way west, some kind soul has already recorded the trip during the open house the week before.

Barcamp3 is just around the corner, a few hours later in fact. A whole bunch of companies and individuals will be there to share their ideas and experiences. We'll be attending as well, look for us and say hi. See you later!
