Smartest Way, Fastest Route, or Cheapest Fare? You decide.

Many of our users have been requesting for the inclusion of alternative routes in our directions. Well starting today, in addition to our original directions, you will be able to choose between the "Fastest" route or "Cheapest" options for our public transport directions!

If you are one of those who believe in the old adage - time equals to money, "Fastest" will give you a route that we think takes the least amount of time. On the other hand, if you have some time to spare and would want to try save some cents or dollars, try "Cheapest" and see if the tradeoff is worth it. We still think that our original directions make a lot of sense (because it thinks like a commuter), therefore we're keeping it as the default and naming it as "Smartest" =].

By the way, you should also notice that we have updated our sidebar! Other than using pretty icons to indicate the different modes of transport directions available, we have extended the use of colours in the sidebar to better indicate the type of transport. For starters, buses are blue and taxis are orange. In the MRT network, the East-West line is green, North-South line is red, and North-East line is purple. We find that this makes our instructions a whole lot more readable now.

We hope the new features and updates will go a long way in helping public transport users in Singapore. Do give us feedback on how well it's working for you!

Gothere goes lite and into Sentosa!

Our beloved users commuting to Bukit Panjang, Sengkang and Punggol have a new reason to rejoice. We have expanded our public transport routes to include the light rail transits (LRTs) in the three towns.

Take for instance a trip from Lot 1 Shoppers' Mall to Zhenghua CC. Previously, we will only return results that tell you to change buses.

But now, we will recommend a LRT + MRT route as well.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. You don't have to be Jack to understand how true that is. That's why we've added the Sentosa Express for our Sentosa going users, and also to remind ourselves how accessible Sentosa really is. Here's a snapshot of how a trip from NUS to Sentosa will look like.

That's it for now, but stay tuned because we have plenty more exciting updates coming your way!
